027 Labors of Heracles (Part 7)

Now that Heracles had slain the swarms of Stymphalian Birds, Eurystheus sent Heracles on his next task, capture the Cretan Bull. Now if you know anything about the Cretan Bull, it was the same bull that King Minos' wife Pasiphae sired and the father of the abomination that was the Minotaur. Now it was running amok across the plains of Crete. Heracles began thus began his journey south to the island of Zeus.

Bullshit! (What Arnold says it all the time! :D)

When he arrived at port, Heracles was invited to the court of Minos and was given permission by the old king to take the mad bull. With Minos' blessing, Heracles went out to search for the bull that had been terrorizing the countryside. After stalking the land, Heracles was able to spot the beast, but he needed to make sure that the bull could not see him.

Oh Hia Bull

Heracles snuck behind the bull and successfully ambushed it. The beast fought hard, but Heracles did not let go his grip as he began to strangle the great white bull. After what seemed to be days to Heracles, he finally captured the wild bull and tied it up. He carried it himself and got it shipped to Athens.

Oh SHIT, NOT AGAIN!

When Eurystheus saw that Heracles was coming with a giant white bull on his back, he scurried back into his hiding jar as our hero stood triumphantly over the cowardly king of Tiryns. Seeing that Heracles had caught the bull, Eurystheus thought it would be proper for the bull to be sacrificed to the enemy of Heracles, Hera. Hera herself forbade such an action, for it would only glorify Heracles' accomplishment. So the great bull was set loose into the fields of Marathon, where a great hero would rise to kill the father of the son he also butchered and this proud king of Athens would sacrifice this grand beast to Athena and Apollo.
