Poems by Tolbart

Ode to Lovecraft
By: Zachary Tolbart
A description paper

Horrors await to those who read the words of him
Putrid stories of death and decay did he write perfectly
Lit the realms of the mind that were never meant to be lit
Outer worldly horrors which descended with frightful omens
Visceral stories of grisly details and morbid visages
Eldritch abominations gaze at humanity without empathy
Creepy nightmares where he heard the sucking roar of Cthuhlu
Rats ran through the walls of his mind ravenously
All his heroes fell to insanity and found shelter in the asylum
Forever knowing everything was the worst of all his fears
Time has not stopped the lauding of his work, nor the terror
